During this online event, the IAB GCC Ordinary General Assembly Meeting will take place as well as the existing Board will stand down and voting will be conducted to elect a new Board.

Ian is currently the Executive Director of the IAB MENA, having worked with other industry leaders to establish it in MENA. He has had the privilege of working in multiple roles across multiple markets over his 20+years. This included leading global clients for Agencies in London, as CEO for an Agency in South Africa and recently as Head of Agency Partnerships for Facebook in the MENA region.
Michel Malkoun is currently the Chair of the Board of Directors of IAB MENA and the Chief Growth Officer at Choueiri Group. Before that he was the Chief Operating Officer at DMS – the digital media arm of the Choueiri Group. No stranger to the media scene, Michel has amassed a notable career, encompassing some of the most prominent regional media groups. Prior to this, Michel spent a decade with the region’s top broadcasters (MBC Group).
In her role as Starcom CEO, Racha is responsible for driving performance marketing solutions that accelerate growth for our partners in an increasingly complex ecosystem. She is currently assuming the role of the Chair of the IAB GCC’s People Development Committee.
Mohamad is the Chair of the IAB MENA Ecosystem & Channel Development Committee and is representing Amazon Ads on the Board of Directors. He has spent his entire career till date in digital and tech across the MENA Region. Coming from an agency background, Mohamad played a crucial part in developing digital platforms and practices including Search, Video, Mobile, Programmatic and data solutions for various agency groups, the latest being MCN/IPG which he served most of his career. During the various roles, he was commissioned to establish the digital practice across key markets including UAE, KSA and Egypt.
Shadi, a seasoned chief executive officer, with over 2 decades of experience at the helm of leading organizations in the marketing services sector, is currently serving as the CEO of MENAT, MEDIABRANDS – IPG’s media holding company spearheading the group’s digital transformation journey and the evolution of its offering to lead in the age of data analytics and technology.
Before joining MEDIABRANDS, Shadi served as a Board member for the Montreal-based analytics startup SEMEON. As chair of the board’s strategic planning committee, he led several rounds of fund-raising activities, co-authored pitch decks, funding term sheets and setting-up governance protocols. At Centennial college, he led the college’s successful bid with the ministry of education to launch Ontario’s first-ever graduate certificate program focused on digital marketing, transformation and the evolution of programmatic trading.
Rayan Karaky is currently Leading the Partnerships, Product and platform teams at Google – MENA, He was recruited to help Google better understand and navigate the agency world in MENA and revolutionize the Google-Agency working model, from relationships to commercial to joint business planning.
Rayan started his career in 2001 in Media Planning and buying at Starcom MediaVest Group, the largest media agency in MENA. Later Rayan went on to become the Chief Digital Officer of MENA and Emerging Markets at Starcom MediaVest Group catapulting the digital division from a #6 ranking to #1 in the region. He drove the advancement of digital growth, competency, integration and innovation within the SMG Global Network and specifically across SMG’s Emerging Markets.
