HOW TO GET INVOLVED
IAB MENA is driven by the work and dedication of its member companies to grow and improve the digital advertising industry. Members make it happen!
The committees and task forces offer our members regular opportunities to come together with other leading members of the industry to network, share ideas, collaborate on challenges, and tackle big industry issues.
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
The IAB MENA Board is elected by the members at the General Assembly for two-year term. The three main interest groups, agencies, publishers | media houses and tech | research companies, are equally represented on the board. By bringing together members from the three key interest groups within the marketplace, the Board of Directors provides a forum to debate key issues, find shared solutions and make sure the industry is leading the industry. The Board of Directors seats are currently capped at 15 companies, 5 of each interest group and the seat is free and open to members holding a premium membership. The Board of Directors meet every three months.
COUNCILS
Councils are set up by the board to represent specific interest groups within the membership where it is believed there are unique issues that need to be addressed at a senior level or where there is a need for cross industry connections unrelated to a specific output (as would be the case in Task Forces). Typically comprised of senior leaders from the board, members and on occasion non-members where appropriate, these peer-to-peer councils meet to connect, collaborate, share best practices and discuss timely industry issues.
COMMITTEES
Committees have been created by the Board of Director to help drive the industry forward and implement the initiatives of the Association by leading on the majority of the Association’s key initiatives and provide collective voice to shape, educate and encourage the growth of the digital industry in the region in a sustainable manner. Participants help to shape the IAB’s initiatives and overall strategy within each of these areas: Ecosystem & Channel Development, People Development & DEI, Research & Measurement, Strategic Planning & Membership and Governance. The committees are capped at 10 companies among those represented on the Board of Directors. The frequency of their meetings varies with an average of every 4-6 weeks.
TASK FORCES
The Task Forces bring together subject matter experts from our members to collaborate on and execute projects and initiatives aligned with the strategic orientation approved by the IAB MENA Board committees. Open to all members, these groups vary in scale and duration based on their specific tasks and internal regulations, and they meet at frequencies determined by each task force.
Members are invited to join task forces at any time to contribute to delivering initiatives, knowledge, and insights that benefit the whole industry. You and your team are encouraged to register for a task force, offering a unique opportunity for personal growth and business insights.

PUBLISHER COUNCIL
COUNCIL MISSION
To provide a forum for publishers to connect, share and align on ways to elevate their perspectives and value in order to help drive a more sustainable publisher ecosystem in MENA which supports both local and global players.
Typical Members: CEOs, Head of Sales, Publishers, Partnership Directors
COMMERCIAL STANDARDS COUNCIL
COUNCIL MISSION
To provide a forum for the buy and sell sides to align on best practices, standards and transparency recommendations that assist to drive overall digital growth and trust in the digital ecosystem. Distinct from technical standards, this council will focus on discussing, developing and implementing commercial standards and best practices across the region. as examples, this could include adopting global IAB trading terms at its simplest, through to developing a MENA-version of IAB Gold Standard over time.
Typical Members: Head of Digital, Head of Training Commercial Directors, CEOs, Head of Sales
