The IAB GCC and Advertising Business Group (ABG) are partnering with the Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) to promote TAG’s launch in the GCC to Fight Criminal Activity and Promote Brand Safety in Digital Advertising. In markets where TAG’s certification standards are adopted, fraudulent activity is significantly reduced and thus the trust in advertising investment is significantly increased.
Today there are 700+ companies participating in TAG from countries across the world – including in the Middle East – working collaboratively to reduce criminal activity and promote brand safety in digital advertising.
The Trustworthy Accountability Group (TAG) is an international cross-industry self-regulatory organization established by advertising trade bodies in 2014 to increase trust and transparency in digital advertising. TAG’s mission is to eliminate fraudulent traffic, combat malware, prevent internet piracy, and promote brand safety in digital advertising. TAG advances those initiatives by bringing companies across the digital advertising supply chain together to set the highest standards.
TAG is focused on three core areas:
- Eliminating Fraudulent Traffic;
- Promoting Brand Safety; and
- Facilitating the Sharing of Threat Intelligence.
The Advertising Business Group (ABG) is a non-profit organization advocating for responsible advertising and communication. With ABGs members accounting for more than 70% of the region’s advertising spend, it is dedicated to uniting the industry around a common purpose and higher standard, building capability by sharing best practices and delivering local insights and providing a platform for discussion.
